Traditional cash, fixed income, and equity investments serve as the starting point for client portfolios. These categories are further divided between relative return investments (e.g., index funds) and absolute return investments (i.e., strategies that emphasize protection of capital), providing for additional diversification and opportunity.
Through our research process, we identify cost effective index funds and absolute return managers that adhere to a value investing philosophy and have a long-term track record of success. We must have a very high level of conviction in each manager's investment process before recommending them to our clients.
Stock and bond investments can be made through professionally managed mutual funds, or individual securities. As we offer no proprietary products, Modus clients can count on independent research with no bias towards a particular company. Please keep in mind that investing in securities involves risk including possible loss of principal.
